Introduction to Gravity Sketch in VR (Part 2 of 3)

In this part 2 of the 3 video series on Gravity Sketch VR, we'll continue to explore the 3D sketch of the mecha character and I'll show you how to quickly assign colors/materials to the different parts of the mesh so that we can take advantage of the different materials at render time.

 The aim of this process is to further refine the sketch by assigning different materials and colors. Adding some color variation to the pieces that make up the character can help you to polish the design by thinking about properties of the materials. For instance: the legs might be metal but there could be some tubes around the leg with a more rubbery material. 

It is important to keep in mind, that at this stage, we are still designing and sketching. None of the colors/materials added are set in stone... in fact, you can just assign totally random and bright colors as we can change them later on.
